Genting Sempah

The slopes are not very steep

One of my favourite route with a cool and gentle climb. A good 3 hours ride out from home and back.

Total distance : 90km
Genting Sempah climb (HOA to workshop) : 15.1km
Average gradient : 3% (it gets a bit steeper in the last 1.5km)
Temperature : 18 to 22 degree Celsius

My TrainingPeaks workout log :

The climb has a very low traffic as vehicles mostly use the highway which is wider and faster. However, logging trucks occasionally run along this route and take up the whole width of the road at the turns. The monsoon season has caused many trees to fall on the road but these have been efficiently cleared. A few section of the roads have also collapsed and awaiting repair.

Beware of other road hazard such as the monkeys and the dogs.
