Four national cyclists were injured when they were rammed by a car during a race simulation at Putrajaya on Sunday, 29 Jan 2012. I cannot understand how this could happen when they have police escort and marshalls monitoring and controlling the traffic. The video footage clearly shows the car failed to notice the peloton and rammed right through without evasive measure.

The 4 cyclists were Mariana Mohamad (Former National Champion and a big prospect for the Asian Cycling Championship next week), Masziyaton Mohd Radzi, Mohd Azri Ahmad and Mohd Aziz Zahit. Mariana suffered the most serious injury with multiple fractures and is not recovering at Damansara Specialist Hospital. The rest received outpatient treatment.
